BWH Bulletin's year-end issue is a time to reflect on BWHers' proudest moments from the past year. We asked you to share one BWH-related memory from 2013 that was meaningful to you, and you generously offered stories about colleagues, patients, families, events and milestones that continue to inspire you. We hope you enjoy reading these moments.
I work with Rich Lee, MD, and Calum MacRae, MD, PhD. They are extremely intelligent individuals who are incredibly successful as researchers, innovators and administrators, and they are both well-known within BWH and far beyond. But I felt really proud to be a BWHer when I heard Dr. Lee and Dr. MacRae's patients speak at this year's BWH Research Day and witnessed firsthand the kind of love and respect these patients have for them. I have always admired Dr. Lee and Dr. MacRae's professional achievements, but I now admire them most for the kind of impact they have had on their fellow human beings.
